A key milestone in the strategic partnership with MachGlobal
MachGlobal had the privilege of visiting Luster’s manufacturing site in Wuzhong, located two hours from Shanghai, on Monday, December 1st.
This visit represents an important step only a few months after the official signing of the partnership in August 2025.
It also carries strong symbolic value: Luster was the first international company to place its trust in MachGlobal, a gesture of profound importance for Stéphane Rateau and for the long-term vision of the company.
A modern, high-performance industrial site
The Wuzhong facility is one of the most advanced technology centers of the Luster Group.
Complementing the company’s headquarters and R&D center in Beijing, it centralizes:
- international commercial operations,
- supply chain management,
- camera and system assembly,
- testing and calibration laboratories,
- packaging and shipping,
- coordination with European distributors.
A dedicated AI Data Center is also under construction to support high-definition image storage, algorithm training, and continuous improvement of detection models.
Excellence in industrial organization
Luster’s manufacturing approach is built on precision, automation and reliability.
Automated logistics and intelligent workflows
Order preparation is fully automated thanks to autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) that retrieve components from storage areas and deliver them directly to the workstations.
Specialized assembly zones by market segment
Each type of machine is assembled in its own dedicated area:
- 100% inspection for narrow-web labels (LabelHERO),
- wide-web inspection for flexible packaging,
- sheet-fed and carton inspection systems,
- LCD / OLED screen inspection,
- battery inspection systems for automotive applications,
- vision solutions for robotics and factory automation.
This segmentation ensures optimal performance, process reliability and consistency across all product lines.
A strategic and highly professional welcome
MachGlobal was warmly received by Carrie Duan, International Sales Director at Luster.
Carrie plays a fundamental role in:
- coordinating global partners,
- supporting European distributors,
- aligning strategy with MachGlobal,
- expanding Luster’s network in French-speaking regions.
A reinforced European strategy
As part of its international expansion plan, Luster will introduce a dedicated Product Manager for Europe at the end of Q1 2026.
This key position will provide:
- stronger technical support for European distributors,
- faster response times for integration and customization needs,
- deeper expertise for the label and packaging markets,
- direct support for key customers across Europe.
This strategic decision confirms Luster’s ambition to accelerate its footprint in Europe through a close and long-term partnership with MachGlobal.
MachGlobal & Luster: a partnership built on trust
The relationship between Luster and MachGlobal is grounded in:
- mutual trust,
- a shared industrial vision,
- a commitment to delivering best-in-class 100% inspection solutions,
- and a common objective: helping printers and converters transition to smarter, safer, fully automated production environments.
The visit to the Wuzhong site reaffirms the strength of this collaboration and opens the door to new, high-impact projects for 2026 and beyond.
