Leading US manufacturer of narrow and mid-web press technology Mark Andy has appointed Mach Global as its exclusive distributor in France, with effect from 1st April 2026.
Mach Global was founded in 2025 by Stéphane Rateau who had previously owned and managed the SMAG company. With this new appointment, he will bring his many years of print expertise in the French market to Mark Andy, especially in narrow web and labels.
Announcing the new appointment, Executive Vice President Tom Cavalco, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mach Global to the Mark Andy family and look forward to working closely with Stéphane to build our profile in France and increase our market share in both the flexo and digital/hybrid sectors.”
Mark Andy has a long history of success in France with its flexo press technology and a well-established user-base. It was this firm business foundation and Mark Andy’s extensive range of press technology that first attracted Stéphane Rateau to become their distributor.
He explained: “The opportunity to represent Mark Andy comes only once in a lifetime and I could not be more excited about the prospect. The company is a true manufacturer, not just an assembler, with a wealth of industrial knowledge that is backed up by its global footprint. No other press manufacturer in this sector can match its technical capability and product range.”
Currently based in Paris but soon to relocate to a new purpose-built facility in Occitanie, Mach Global is keen to establish its Mark Andy credentials amongst French converters and Stéphane Rateau says he intends to make full use of the Mark Andy demonstration and technical centre in Warsaw.
Married to Alba, and with three children, Simon, Salomé, and Kamilla, Stéphane lists his hobbies as golf and deep-sea diving – but not together!
