Visit Report – December 2nd, 2025
As announced, MachGlobal attended LabelExpo Shanghai.
The primary goals of this visit were:
- To support MachGlobal’s strategic and exclusive partners, who entrusted the company with the representation of their technologies across French-speaking markets.
- To identify new partnerships, especially for blank label production equipment and non-stop rewinding systems designed for small roll production.
This first day was intense, rich in discussions, discoveries, and promising prospects for 2026.
1. SAPA DMS Booth – Digital Embellishment
SAPA DMS showcased several advanced embellishment technologies, including the DMS 330 – Type DW, featuring a digital cold-foil unit perfectly suited for sensitive materials and flexible packaging.
The inkjet embellishment heads are mounted on a 600 mm cooled cylinder, ensuring perfect adhesion and material stability.
The DMS 800 mm range, specifically designed for flexible packaging, was also highlighted and confirmed SAPA DMS’s ability to serve high-performance industrial lines.
SAPA DMS reaffirms its position as a market leader in this technology, supported by a very dynamic booth packed with application samples.
2. GIP Booth – Industrial Inkjet Printing
MachGlobal visited the booth of GIP, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial inkjet printing systems.
The booth lived up to the company’s reputation: large, efficient and forward-thinking.
Displayed equipment:
- Label Master
- Label Ultra
- Falcon inkjet module, also demonstrated on SPANDE’s booth.
GIP reconfirms its global leadership in high-performance inkjet printing.
MachGlobal maintains a long-term partnership with VBR All Service in Italy, where more than 10 GIP machines are already installed.
A MachGlobal Open House in Turin will soon be announced, organised together with VBR All Service, to display GIP technology to European converters.
3. LUSTER Booth – 100% Inspection & Workflow
LUSTER highlighted its LabelTank 420 rewinder, equipped with the LabelHero F.
This unit had a strong symbolic value:
➡️ it will be delivered directly to MachGlobal, becoming the first LUSTER machine installed in France under the new partnership.
A sign above the machine proudly stated: “Machine sold to MachGlobal” — a meaningful and appreciated gesture.
MachGlobal has also placed additional orders for LUSTER inspection systems dedicated to retrofit projects on existing SMAG-X machines, strengthening the growing synergy between the companies.
4. SPANDE Booth – Flexographic Printing Presses
SPANDE had the largest booth of the exhibition and showcased two flagship models:
- S5 flexo press, equipped with GIP’s Falcon inkjet module,
- S7 flexo press, integrating a flat hot-foil module designed by Rhino, the well-known Swiss manufacturer.
MachGlobal also held discussions with the Rhino team regarding:
- the future integration of Pantec modules on SPANDE lines,
- and MachGlobal’s potential role in distributing these solutions within fully integrated projects.
5. HEFENG Meeting – Corona & Web Cleaning
MachGlobal met with HEFENG to review:
- ongoing orders,
- Corona, Plasma and web-cleaning solutions,
- and future developments required for the growing European market.
6. Meeting with DYM – Unwinding & Rewinding
Although DYM did not exhibit this year due to its significant investment at LabelExpo Barcelona, the company is currently experiencing exceptionally high order volumes.
Discussions covered:
- production capacities,
- small-roll rewinding solutions,
- and potential cooperation opportunities.
7. Wanjie Europe & Dowell Europe
Wanjie displayed a simplified version of its ADVANCE 350 offset press, intended for the Chinese domestic market.
➡️ The European version offered by Wanjie Europe is significantly more complete and technologically advanced.
MachGlobal then visited the booth of Dowell, a flexo press manufacturer positioned below Spande in terms of technology, but covering around 70% of current European market demand.
A dedicated company has been established:
Dowell Europe,
led by Félix Prieto, responsible for sales, technical support, and installations throughout Europe.
This organisation creates strong synergies between:
- MachGlobal,
- Wanjie Europe,
- Dowell Europe.
8. Identification of Non-Stop Small-Roll Solutions
MachGlobal identified several manufacturers specialising in non-stop systems for small-roll production.
One leading supplier stood out, opening the door to a future strategic partnership.

9. Networking & International Relations
Throughout the day, Stéphane Rateau met with:
- partners from Russia, Turkey and Asia,
- long-standing industry contacts,
- and numerous international converters.
MachGlobal continues to strengthen its role as a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia.
Conclusion
A short but intense visit, essential for consolidating MachGlobal’s strategic position in Asia.
MachGlobal reinforces its role as a key gateway between cutting-edge Chinese technologies and the evolving French market.
